A downloadable GZDoom level (map)

A follow-up to Zenium.MAP, adaptation/reinterpretation of the Zenium-2006 image set.

Key differences:

Just A Cube is now shown half from ceiling, half from floor, we're not inside it.

Intersection now has a teleporter to return you to its beginning, as Doom isn't supposed to have jumps.

You can't go inside TetRising anymore.

Broken Texture is not as broken as it was.

Tethra Gateway is now a spiral staircase.

Triangledge is now a single object instead of two, it isn't striped and is much more blocky (like everything here).

Astral Control Station doesn't have spikes.

Hyperspace is now nuclear waste tunnel.

Spinal is now an outwards spiral staircase.

Multipointer is now a HUGE room.

Gearbox is even less detailed than it was in comparison to Zenium-2006. Extra room was added without direct reference to Zenium-2006, with "Spikiness" accidentally raised too much in the Ellipse instrument of Doom Builder (map editor).

Digital Chaos is now more like Letters Chaos, because there's not a single texture in vanilla Doom 1 with numbers only.

Integration is now represented by wall indentation, not a lazy floor textures rotation.

DeforMetal is now two separate objects, like the top and the bottom parts of the original one.

Poisoned Well is very shallow and allows you to get back with a few steps. Also, as it's Doom, you can't dive into water.

Crystallis unintendedly looks like 4 coffins made of nuclear waste.

ReDirector allows you to travel inside it. I also made an automatic lift so that you don't get stuck in the middle of it.

Coiler now has proper 4 staircases like it had in Zenium-2006.

MultiLayer is a solid 8x8x8 cube here. Doom 1 barely has 8 wall+floor matching textures to fill this one!

Install instructions

Put the map in the folder with GZDoom and start playing it by selecting it in the startup menu. You need a full DOOM.WAD (of Doom 1 / Ultimate Doom) as I've used the default Doom's textures.

Tested on GZDoom 4.10.0.
